Today we made the 4 bars draft for our jingle.

I didn't know that we were supposed to be doing it on Finale though, so we did it manually. I have lost my Finale because it was un-used for quite an amount of time.

I made a simple but light tune that's going to be played by violin, trumpet, flutes, drums, cello, and piano. I've decided to use more than 4 instruments if I can.

After the time to make the jingle was up, we were back to instrument class, which of course, was used to another rehearsal to our Jazz Song.

We rehearsed our songs again in front of the class, I did better than before and it was quite satisfying. :)

20th April 2010

Today, we were given commercials to review and watch. It was interesting, and my favorite was the coca cola celebration commercial, even though it was spanish and that I couldn't understand it. =.=""

Afterwards we got our instruments ready and we practised the 8 bars to our song, which in my case is "Fly me to the moon".
We reviewed our performances in front of the whole class, I like how everyone practised really hard, I like the group that performed "This love", they blended all the instruments fairly well. :)

16th April 2010

Today we had out written tests.

I was prepared but nervous. As soon as I received the paper, it surprised me quite a bit, because I had to write a friggin biography. I don't even knoowwwww dhsajkdhsakfhsahfa :(

But ah well, again everyone tried their hardest and we could all see that quite clearly.
Though after the test, we don't have any time to do anything or practise so we finished music class with no more event for the day.

13th April 2010

Today, we had our singing assessments.

WHICH we didn't know at all. Because the message on facebook, which I read, said that today was supposed to be written test.

Which of course led to people being unprepared, including myself.
Though thankfully, the song was quite easy to sing, but I didn't got to memorize it because my name starts with an "A".

So yeah, I didn't get a good mark this time. But frankly I don't really care how they assess me, as long as I try my best and it's enough.

"I got rhythm" is a jazz song with a very playful tune, it was fun to sing.

Today is our first music class for term 4, it turned out that we still have quite a list to do D:

We were given an exercise for the major 7 thingys again, and then there were the 9 and 11 SDKLASD
I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT THAT IS >:T

But yeah, I finally figured out what it is though =w=;;
Okay so and afterwards Sir Herry told us to make 5 questions for our test around next week D:
OMG OMG

He also split us into groups, my group is consisted of Kezia, Jean, Andrew.B, Mark, and myself.

So yeah that's about it for the day :D
I would have to practise more to accomplish a better grade this term~!!

Me and Andrew Sie played All Of Me, something was wrong with my string and it always escaped my grip.

So yeah, the performance was a total failure D:

I'll just have to practice more so I can play better.

We reviewewd all of me again, Andri and Hasan played this time. And next week in my and Adrew Sie's turn to play, I'm not very good at playinmg Allm Of Me, one of my fingerr is stiff.

Afterwards we practice again and get ready for the real assessmengt next week.

Today we revised our custom 12 bar blues, I have submitted mine, though it was weird. We also learned something called the boogie base.

Next week is All Of Me assessment :D

Today, Mr. Herry played to us most of our 12 bar blues compositions.

I haven't finished mine so I haven't submitted it yet
And the rest of the class had to play All Of Me well..

At least to those who haven't played it.

2nd February 2010

Today we learnt about the 12 bar blues.
We heard the performances of the instrument teachers, they did on-the-spot improvisation and it was awesome.

Then, we were checked on our 12 bar blues homework. We had a split session, so there was a recess afterwards.

After the recess, we saw the presentation of Fusion Jazz group (they also performed the song "I'm Yours" by Jason Mraz, it was pretty good).

We also saw Bayu's part of the Ragtime presentation, since he was absent when the Ragtime group did their presentation.
We all had fun watching the presentations. Since this friday is the PTC and the Catholic-Buddhist retreat, the individual reports and the 12 bar blues homework are pushed back to next week Tuesday.

Sway assessment was pretty much the usual thing

Except that instead of having Andri as a partner, I sang alone since she was absent.
I had to sing alone, and it SUCKED
I don't have much confidence but I can manage to reach my pitch, so it's okay

Today we simply did our presentation on Jazz
I was in the latin jazz team

I wasn't very prepared about it though
I wish I had more time

We watched the performance of Michael Buble on youtube that Mr.Herry opened for us.
And then we were divided into the instruments group, such as Piano, Guitar, Woodwind, and violin to sing "SWAY" by Michael Buble! :D
It was fun though boring, and yet fun.
